Description:
------------
CRLF is a drag & drop application which performs
the conversion of CR(Mac), LF(Unix) and CRLF(PC) files. It
auto-detects the end of line code of the file which was
dropped and converts to the desired file type. Once you
have set up the preference, you will rarely need to make
any interaction with CRLF later.
CRLF converts the file "in place". The filename stays the
same before and after the conversion. You will notice that
it was converted just by looking at the icons. You can
set up these icons by specifying the creator for each type
of output file.
Also, CRLF is capable of dealing with Japanese text, unlike
some other similar utilities.
New Features:
-------------
Fixed the bug that did not process the file properly if
the input and output EOL characters were the same.
Thus, you can now use it to just change the creator.
Usage:
------
** Before start using CRLF version 1.2, users are
strongly recommended to set up the default behavior for
the CRLF.
To do so, just double click the CRLF icon while
pressing control key down until a dialog box appears.
In the dialog box, you can set the default output file
specs for each of CR(Mac), LF(unix), and CRLF(IBM PC) files.
You can also set the creator code for the output file here.
Unlike the previous version, you specify the creator for
each input file: i.e., you specify like if the input file
was a mac file, then output file's creator should be 'YoED'
etc.
Once you have done the setup, just drag & drop one or
more text files/folders onto CRLF. CRLF will automatically
detect the input code, then converts the file according to
the rule you have set in the preference dialog.
Result:
-------
File with the desired Endo-of-line character.
Caution:
--------
It has not been tested much.
*** IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SYSTEMS PRIOR TO SYSTEM 7.0 ***

Asking your favour:
-------------------
Although this programme is free, if you liked it and
decided to use it, you are encouraged to make donations
to an organization like UNHCR or "Medicines sans Frontieres"
to help peaople in needs.
You can do it in 3 ways.
1) Find the organization near your place and donate.
*** In this case, please send me the name and
address of the organization to me. I am trying to
compile a list of such organizations so that
I can help people to get contact with these
organizations easier. (PLEASE STATE EXPLICITLY
WHAT THE ORGANIZATION IS FOR!)
2) Donate to the organizations in the attached list.
(Unfortunately, the document lists only 2 organizations
and is in Japanese. Please send me more addresses!)
3) Send cheque or money order to me. Then, it will
be forwarded to UNHCR in Ottawa.
In any case, please drop me a note to the following.
If you have an e-mail address, you will get (though
I do not guarantee)
1) Bug report
2) Notice of new version release.

JCONV-DD : Just drag&drop a Japanese file onto JCONV-DD ver.1.6.2.
JCONV-DD will convert the file's encoding to the desired code!
You just set the preference once. Then you do not need any
interaction with JCONV-DD there after unless you want an
exception to what you usually do. Just drag&drop files and
folders. Then, JCONV-DD will determine the files' encoding scheme
automatically and converts it to the code you usually converts to.
If you frequently convert Japanese files, JCONV-DD will be your
indispensable tool.
